Timothy Mardon
Division President, ACE Tempest Re Bermuda
A reinsurance executive with more than 22 years of industry experience, Tim Mardon rejoined ACE Tempest Re Bermuda as Division President in October 2011. In this role, Mr. Mardon is responsible for all operating aspects of the company’s Bermuda-based property and casualty reinsurance business, including underwriting, finance, claims and administration.
Prior to joining ACE, he served as President and Chief Underwriting Officer for Torus Re, with responsibility for developing and underwriting the company’s insurance portfolio. Mr. Mardon also previously served as Chief Underwriting Officer of Citadel’s reinsurance operations of CIG Reinsurance Ltd., and New Castle Reinsurance Ltd.
Mr. Mardon began his career in London with Terra Nova Insurance and Zurich Re, then moved on to ACE Tempest Re Bermuda in 1996, where he spent eight years in the property catastrophe and specialty underwriting division, ultimately rising to the position of Chief Underwriting Officer.
Mr. Mardon is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (UK) and an Associate of the Charted Insurance Institute. He holds a BA in Industrial Economics from Nottingham University, UK.
